Tailgate & Testing at the University of Florida

Tackling Prostate Cancer at the Florida Gators vs. LSU Tigers Football Game

Game day isn’t just about touchdowns and tailgates — it’s about taking action for men’s health. This year, Man Cave Health teamed up with the Prostate Cancer Foundation to bring our Mobile Cancer Screening Connector to Gator Fanfest, offering free PSA blood tests to screen for prostate cancer. Over 60 men seized the opportunity to prioritize their health, demonstrating that early detection is a winning strategy on and off the field.

For Michael Cole, 47, getting tested wasn’t just a game-time decision — it was a personal mission. With a family history of cancer, he’s seen firsthand how critical early detection can be. “I believe in early detection, and I believe any time you get a chance to make sure everything is good, you should do that,” said Cole. His message is clear: “Make sure you get tested and know what is going on.”

In addition to screenings, our team was on-site providing essential education about prostate health and answering questions to ensure men had the information they needed. The energy and camaraderie of Gator Fanfest fueled an incredible day of health advocacy and awareness. Together, we’re proving that health and sports are the ultimate team. Early detection saves lives, and with the support of our community, we’re making sure no man faces his health journey alone.
